Spider-Man: No Way Home actor Tom Holland made an in-costume appearance to read mean Tweets.

Appearing on on the "Celebrities Read Mean Tweets" segment of Jimmy Kimmel Live, star Tom Holland read, "Well, Tom Holland is an absolute w-----." The web-slinging actor found the Tweet humorous, replying, "And he's also Spider-Man."

Though he was the only one who came to the set in his own super-suit, Holland wasn't the only big-screen superhero who made an appearance on the late-night talk show segment. John Cena, who played Peacemaker in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad, took some time to crack a joke over another mean tweet. TV show supers had their time in the limelight as well, with Regina King from 2019's Watchmen series and Hannah Waddingham of Krypton fame each also sending their own unique replies to their respective commenters.

Holland made his debut as Spider-Man back in 2016, with the premiere of Captain America: Civil War. He has since played the role of Peter Parker throughout multiple films set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including three movies that focused primarily on his exploits as the Queens-born web-slinger. While there was some doubt as to whether Holland would continue to play the role in the future, producer Amy Pascal has since laid concerns to rest by announcing that a new Spider-Man trilogy is currently in the works.

Holland reprises his role as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home. It is the third film in Marvel's Spider-Man film franchise, set as a direct sequel to 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home, which ended right after Peter's secret identity was revealed to the public by Mysterio. Struggling to deal with the negative press that the revelation brings, Peter turns to Doctor Strange to see if he might have a solution. When Strange attempts to cast a spell, things go wrong and the multiverse starts to pour into the MCU.

Over its opening weekend, Spider-Man: No From Home has earned a worldwide total of $587.2 million and had the second-largest debut after Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War. Its premiere was met with a positive reception, with fans and critics praising the film's satisfying story, well-earned emotional beats and fun cast of characters.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is showing in theaters now.
