Continuing his long tradition of accidentally, inadvertently, or otherwise incidentally "spoiling" major Marvel announcements and news, actor Tom Holland has revealed the title for sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming as Spider-Man: Far From Home in an Instagram message posted from Seattle's Ace Comic Con.
In the video, Holland first apologizes for "not having any announcements" but then says he just got the script, holds up his iPad, and very clearly displays the title and new logo for the film.
The video begins with Holland apologizing for the lack of news and information he has to share about Spider-Man 2, which means this slip up on his part is more than likely staged as a joke, similar to his "accidental" Infinity War poster reveal. Either way, Tom Holland's social media accounts are becoming the place to keep an eye on for detail hungry MCU fans.
We've known for a while that Homecoming's sequel would be taking Peter Parker out of New York City, so the subtitle is anything but a surprise. However, Holland jokes, even he doesn't know how that's going to work considering Peter's fate at the end of Infinity War.
Spider-Man: Far From Home is set for release on July 5th, 2019.
