Marvel is famously -- notoriously -- security-conscious, working diligently to keep a lid on any potential leaks from its productions. Its level of secrecy surpasses even "Game of Thrones," at least according to "Iron Fist" star Finn Jones.

Still, there are occasionally slip-ups, perhaps most famously in 2011, when someone got their hands on Samuel L. Jackson's copy of the shooting script for "The Avengers," and tried to sell it to the highest bidder. Apparently hoping not to make the same mistake, Tom Holland found the perfect solution to disposing of his script for what we can probably assume is "Avengers: Infinity War." Surely, producers would've tracked him down by now if he'd walked off with the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" script.

In a video posted on his Instagram page, the 20-year-old Spider-Man actor sheepishly admitted he forgot to turn his script, and then assured producers it won't fall into the wrong hands. That's because he burned it.

Rule number one... hand in your script ?

"Marvel like to keep everything a secret," he said to the camera, "so, to all the producers who are probably freaking out because I forgot to hand in my script, here is evidence that I am destroying it." With that, Holland chucked the script into the wood-burning stove. "Job done."

Holland returned to Pinewood Atlanta Studios, where he filmed much of "Spider-Man: Homecoming," to shoot scenes for "Infinity War." It's impossible to say whether the video means he's finished with his role in the movie, or merely eager to be rid of the script before it meets a fate similar to Jackson's.

Following his debut as the wall-crawler last year in "Captain America: Civil War," Holland reprises the role in director Jon Watt's "Spider-Man: Homecoming," which also stars Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr. The film arrives July 7.

He'll then swing back into theaters with "Avengers: Infinity War," which opens May 4, 2018.
