Spider-Man: No Way Home star Tom Holland revealed he nearly had a burnout breakdown during the filming of Uncharted.

Speaking to THR, Holland discussed how he came close to overworking himself after the intense filming schedule of Uncharted. "There was a point in time where I had to make the call and say, 'Guys, I'm going to need a weekend because if not, I'm going to sort of fall apart,'" Holland explained. "I got quite a nasty bit of tendinitis in my hamstring, which held me back quite a bit, but thankfully, that was more toward the end of the shoot."

Holland also praised his strong relationship with Sony, producer of both Uncharted and No Way Home, who let the actor have the time off he needed to recover. "The studio was fantastic. They were incredibly helpful. They understood and recognized how hard I was working, and they gave me the time off that I needed," Holland added.

Filming for Uncharted began in July 2020 and lasted until October 2020, with production on No Way Home commencing at the end of that same month and lasting for four months. Holland also had a busy year for releases in 2021, starring in a leading role for the Apple TV+ film Cherry and alongside Daisy Ridley in Chaos Walking.

Holland previously discussed how the stressful Spider-Man: Homecoming press tour took a toll on his body. Holland, who visited 17 different countries on the tour, said, "I was really ill... But I didn't say no. I was like, 'I can do it, I can do it, I can do it.'" The actor also recalled the moment on the tour when he had to take himself off stage to throw up, adding, "I was under a lot of pressure to finish the day's work. That was the first time I was really like, 'No, I'm done now. I've given you everything.'"

Uncharted is Holland's next big release and is set to hit theaters on Feb 18. Directed by Ruben Fleischer, the film adapts the Uncharted video games series and follows Nathan Drake and his partner Victor "Sully" Sullivan who team up to track down a missing treasure while following clues that could lead to Nate's missing brother.
