By this point, Marvel fans are well aware of the fact that Spider-Man star Tom Holland has a tendency to spoil the films he appears in, be it intentionally or unintentionally. With that in mind, it appears that Marvel Studios has resorted to some drastic measures to keep him in line now that Avengers 4 is just around the corner.

A video has surfaced online of Holland and a fan, who asks if he could reveal any details related to what happens in the next Avengers film.

"I can't," Holland laughed, before jokingly adding, "They'll shoot me."

When asked if his character would be revived, he reiterated, "I can't tell you. They'll shoot me," while pantomiming a gun pointed at his head.

Between revealing a stunt from Spider-Man: Homecoming early, live-streaming his premature unboxing of the Avengers: Infinity War poster, preemptively confirming the title of Spider-Man: Far From Home and even spoiling his character's shocking death at the end of Infinity War, it's safe to say that Holland isn't exactly the best at keeping secrets.

Holland's tendency to reveal key information of his own accord inevitably caught Marvel's attention, who have aided in turning it into an inside joke.

Marvel once teamed him up with Benedict Cumberbatch for interviews so the latter could make sure nothing was spoiled and jokingly put tape over his mouth during the "Thanos Demands Your Silence" anti-spoiler campaign for Infinity War. Additionally, some of his aforementioned "slip-ups" are rumored to have been signed off on by the higher-ups.

Still, while they're certainly not actually going to have Holland bumped off for spoiling something, they are likely  rather serious about Spidey keeping a low profile until Avengers 4 is actually released (especially following the "firing" of Mark Ruffalo).

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers 4 stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Brie Larson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Evangeline Lilly and Josh Brolin. The film arrives May 3, 2019.
