"Captain America: Civil War" will see almost all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's heroes take either Captain America or Iron Man's side in a massive, franchise-defining conflict. The ramifications of "Civil War" will most likely be huge and will affect plenty of characters in Marvel's movie-verse. Even though Loki hasn't been seen since 2013's "Thor: The Dark World" and he doesn't play a role in "Civil War," Yahoo! didn't let the opportunity to ask actor Tom Hiddleston about Loki's hypothetical allegiance pass them by.
"He's clearly on Team Loki," said Hiddleston with a laugh when asked who Loki would side with. "They were all fairly unkind to him in 'The Avengers,' so I'm not sure he would be taking sides. I think he would be sitting on a rooftop somewhere enjoying the fact that the children are squabbling. Going, 'Ah! This is entertaining.'"
Hiddleston's Asgardian villain will next be seen in "Thor: Ragnarok," which shoots this summer. When last we saw the character, he had secretly taken control of Asgard by impersonating his adopted father, Odin.
"Captain America: Civil War" opens on May 6, 2016. "Thor: Ragnarok" arrives in theaters on November 3, 2017.
