Following confirmation of a Loki limited series in development for the Disney+ streaming service, Marvel Cinematic Universe fans are undoubtedly excited for the continuing adventures of the god of mischief. And if they weren't before, they certainly are now, with a tease from star Tom Hiddleston.
The actor posted an image on Twitter displaying the text: "Loki. More stories to tell. More mischief to make. More to come."
Although there are countless fan theories about how Loki might have survived his apparent death early in Avengers: Infinity War, there's nothing to say the Disney+ series takes place after the vents of that blockbuster. After all, the trickster has lived for centuries, so there are surely countless exploits that haven't yet been chronicled on film.
The Loki series will be the first of several planned MCU projects for the streaming service focusing on secondary characters from the films. There are also rumored miniseries featuring Falcon and Winter Soldier, starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, and Scarlet Witch, featuring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany.
While Disney+ is targeted to launch late next year, no release date has been announced for the Loki series.
