Loki star Tom Hiddleston discussed how the "Get Help" scene came together and reminisced about working with Scarlett Johansson on their iconic Avengers moment together.

Hiddleston appeared on IMDb's What To Watch and discussed Loki's long journey from Thor frenemy to time variant on his hit Disney+ show. He also touched on some of his favorite moments for his character in the MCU, including the fan-favorite "Get Help" scene in Thor: Ragnarok. According to the actor, most of the moment was improvised after Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth were prompted by director Taika Waititi to explore their characters' shared childhood.

"It all came from Taika Waititi’s brilliant and inventive imagination," Hiddleston said. "Taika came in in the morning and said, 'It would be really fun if you came into the room and pretended it was a game you used to play as kids.' As we worked it out, it was something completely improvised. It gives you such an insight into the way Taika works."

While Waititi gave the pair the bare bones of the scene, it seems the beloved exchange between the two was all made up on the spot. Much of Waititi's film was reportedly improvised, an impressive feat given the big-budget nature of the film and its need to fit into a larger narrative. The result, however, was one of the most revered movies in the MCU.

It was hardly Loki's only memorable moment, however, and Hiddleston spoke about another of his favorite scenes: the verbal chess match between the trickster and Black Widow in The Avengers.

"We both knew it was a great scene and it was quite a long scene," Hiddleston said. "I think it was four to five pages. We met up and just ran the lines. We just ran them and ran them because we wanted to be so on top of the material that we had some space to play. It was such a well-written scene because it’s almost a game of chess and you think Loki is winning but really it's Black Widow who's got the upper hand and she’s outsmarted him."
