Following the death of Loki in Avengers: Infinity War, actor Tom Hiddleston has once more left if rather ambiguous whether or not the Asgardian God of Mischief is truly dead.

Loki was killed by Thanos in the movie's opening sequence, although several theories have been spreading online suggesting the Loki that was killed wasn't the real deal. When asked by fans at ACE Comic Con on Sunday, Hiddleston played coy and appeared to remain purposefully vague on the character's fate.

“Listen... I’ve heard some amazing theories about this," he said. "I was in a park in London a couple of weeks ago, and some guys came and said hi, and they asked me the same question. They said, ‘Hey, listen, we need an answer to this question. All the other times Loki’s died’ — there’s been a few — ‘he stabs with his right hand. And now he’s stabbing with his left hand.’ I was like, ‘That’s incredible attention to detail.’”

When asked by his Avengers co-star Elizabeth Olsen if he was aware of that detail, Hiddleston downplayed it before giving a not-too-definitive answer on whether Loki was dead or not, stating, “Your guess is as good as mine.”

Well, that doesn't answer much, but it seems Hiddleston is staying true to the trickster, leaving his fate for us to find out come Avengers 4. However, given Loki has cheated death in the first two Thor films, we wouldn't be surprised if he managed to do the same yet again.
