He may be best known for his role as Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but actor Tom Hiddleston says he would like to play two other costumed characters.

A lot of fans have a soft spot for Hiddleston's performance as Loki, and have expressed concern that Avengers: Infinity War could spell the end for Thor's mischievous brother. But would that necessarily mean the end of Hiddleston's career in the MCU?

Speaking with Collider, Hiddleston expressed an interest in playing either Galactus or Captain Britain.

“Is there a Captain Britain? Is he an interesting character? Apparently, there is," Hiddleston said, and then settled on someone a little less obscure. “The one I used to love as a child was Galactus. … Probably not played by m,  though … It could be motion-capture. Does one get to double up? Chris Evans got to double up, I suppose.”

Just as Benedict Cumberbatch played the titular Stephen Strange in Doctor Strange and voiced the villainous Dormammu, the MCU is littered with stars who have played dual roles with barely anyone noticing. There's been the likes of Nathan Fillon, Sean Gunn and Alfre Woodard. However, as Hiddleston acknowledged, Evans had the honor of playing both the Human Torch and Captain America.

Interestingly, Galactus is also a favorite of Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, who reportedly once attempted to swap the Daredevil rights for Glactus and the Silver Surfer. Now, with Disney's impending acquisition of key Fox assets, there is every chance that the cosmic entity could make his way into Marvel's plans, post-Phase Three. As for Captain Britain, Hiddleston's nationality would also make him a prime candidate to play Brian Braddock.

Admittedly, all of this is just the hopes and dreams of one man, so fans will have to wait and see if Loki is destined to depart the MCU and whether he will be taking Hiddleston with him.

In theaters Friday worldwide, Avengers: Infinity War is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Tom Hiddleston and Josh Brolin, among others.
