A new promo for "Kong: Skull Island" offers a glimpse into the past of Tom Hiddleston's Special Forces veteran James Conrad.

Released through the film's Twitter account, the brief video delves into the file compiled on Conrad by the Monarch organization, highlighting his service with Britain's Special Air Service, as well as his possible manifestations of "shell shock." The profile soon becomes blacked out to reveal the words "hunter becomes hunted." The teaser ends with the slogan, "All Hail the King."

Set in the 1970s, "Kong: Skull Island" centers on a team of explorers brought together to venture deep into an uncharted island in the Pacific, unaware they’re crossing into the domain of the mythic Kong. It's the second film in Legendary Pictures' new monsters shared universe, which began in 2014 with "Godzilla" and will continue in 2019 with "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" and in 2020 with "Godzilla vs. Kong."

Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, “Kong: Skull Island” promises to give us the largest version of King Kong that we’ve seen in any movie. Opening March 10, 2017, the film also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson, Jason Mitchell, Corey Hawkins, Toby Kebbell, Tom Wilkinson, Terry Notary, John Goodman and John C. Reilly.
