Tom Hanks Stars in First Trailer For Steven Spielberg's 'Bridge of Spies'

The first trailer has arrived for Steven Spielberg's "Bridge of Spies," the historical spy thriller starring Tom Hanks.

Written by Matt Charman with Joel and Ethan Cohen, the film is based on the 1960 U-2 incident, with Hanks playing James Donovan, a lawyer who's thrust into the Cold War when he's enlisted by the CIA to accomplish a near-impossible task: negotiate the release of an American U-2 pilot shot down over the Soviet Union.

Opening Oct. 16, "Bridge of Spies" also stars Mark Rylance, Scott Shepherd, Amy Ryan, Sebastian Koch and Alan Alda.
