Two of the biggest action stars could possibly team-up for a film in the future -- should they get their wish.In a recent interview with ET! Canada to promote Mission: Impossible – Fallout, legendary actor Tom Cruise was asked about a possible team-up between him and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson on the big screen and whether or not he'd be open to that possibility. The actor seemed excited by the idea, answering, "Sure, absolutely." This, naturally drew the attention of Johnson, who took to Twitter to comment on Cruise's answer and exclaimed that it'll happen -- one day.RELATED: In Skyscraper, Dwayne Johnson Tackles His Most Heroic (And Human) RoleAlong with expressing his excitement over Mission: Impossible - Fallout, Johnson joked that Cruise's comment that the duo working together would be "fun" was putting it lightly. "Haha oh trust me brother.. the “fun” we would have is a massive understatement," he tweeted. "Second only to the fun, the world would have watching us on screen together. One day we’ll make it happen."

Of course, attempting to find time for the two to work together could prove difficult as Johnson's stacked-production schedule only seems to grow. As it stands, the actor is currently hard at work on Jungle Cruise for Disney, with Black Adam and the Fast and Furious spin-off, tentatively titled Hobbs and Shaw, expected to enter production sometime next year. He's also attached to Jumanji 3, Red Notice which will co-star Gal Gadot, and San Andreas 2 just to name a few. So, should the actor (somehow) find time to join up with Cruise? It's doubtful it'd be within the near future, still, for fans of the two action stars, seeing Cruise appear alongside Johnson would surely be exciting.
