In the world of Tokyo Revengers, gangs and violence are commonplace. There aren't many people who strike fear in the gangs' various delinquents, but Mikey manages it so effortlessly. Being the head of Toman, he must be strong. He may not seem like much initially, but his actions speak as loud as his words.

Mikey may be likable at first, but sometimes he lets his immaturity get the better of him. Because of the constant change in timelines, Mikey can go from very likable to unlikeable at any moment. Along with his immaturity, Mikey is also drenched in occasional toxicity.

10 Mikey Knocks Out Kiyomasa After Stopping His Fight Club

Mikey stands over Takemichi

While the moment Takemichi and Mikey first meet is considered very cool by fans, the fact that Mikey knocks out Kiyomasa and continues to punch him while he's down seems a little over the top.

If it was a normal fight, that would be expected of Mikey. However, this is someone who's in Mikey's own gang. There's probably very little chance he does this to other people in Toman, especially since he claims Toman sticks up for one another and would fight for one another. It seemed a little out of character for Mikey.

9 Mikey Doesn't Respect Other People's Property

During an argument where Mikey and Draken are debating over which of them is Takemichi's friend, Mikey ends up throwing and breaking Takemichi's bike, which soon leads to Draken and Mikey breaking a bunch of Takemichi's possessions.

While this is meant to be a lighthearted scene ending in laughter, it still shows that he doesn't fully grasp how to respect people and their property. Mikey is still young and is growing and developing as a person, but he should know not to recklessly destroy property that doesn't belong to him.

8 Mikey Doesn't Respect The Parents Of A Girl In The Hospital

Mikey and Draken visit Pah's friend's girlfriend, who was caught up in their gang war, in the hospital. Her parents approach and tell them to leave. Draken bows to the parents, but Mikey refuses to do so until Draken forces him to.

Mikey's immaturity is shown here again. While he's right about not doing anything wrong, his gang was part of the reason that the girl was in the hospital. Mikey should have realized that and respected her parents and their wishes instead of talking back.

7 Mikey Doesn't Fully Understand The Consequences Of His Decisions

In a flashback, Mikey runs out of gas in his moped even though he was told to get gas before. Instead of going to get the gas himself, he makes everyone play rock, paper, scissors for it. Baji loses and goes to get the gas while the rest of them go to the beach.

While this doesn't seem like a significant decision, they just got into an argument with another biker gang earlier. They show up and ambush Baji until Mikey shows up to join Baji in the fight. If Mikey thought about the other biker gang coming back and had the foresight to go with Baji, Baji wouldn't have been left to fend for himself.

6 Mikey Cries After The Doctors Say Draken Will Live After The Stabbing

While Mikey crying in this situation is understandable, the fact that he says that the situation is so messed up shows his mindset. He is the leader of a gang that approved going to war against Moebius. He knew there were risks.

Mikey seems like he just expects everything to turn out the way he wants it to. This isn't the mindset a gang leader should have. While this moment shows a different side of Mikey, it also shows that he may not be fully equipped to lead a gang.

5 Mikey Threatens Takemichi After The Third Division Captain Ceremony

Mikey seems to let his emotions control him, which seems especially clear after Baji claims he's leaving Toman during the Third Division Captain ceremony. Takemichi doesn't want Kisaki to join Toman, so Mikey makes a deal for Takemichi to bring Baji back in exchange for getting rid of Kisaki.

After the terms of the deal are set, Mikey tells Takemichi that he will kill him if he fails. Despite being a gang leader, Mikey is still supposedly Takemichi's friend. For Mikey to threaten Takemichi with death for failing to do something is completely out of line.

4 Mikey Threatens Takemichi's Life A Second Time

Takemichi is unable to bring Baji back to Mikey, but he shows up with Baji's vice-captain. Mikey asks Takemichi if he really wants to die, as if to reiterate that he was really going to kill him for not bringing Baji back.

Friends shouldn't treat other friends like this, let alone intimidate a friend as Mikey is doing. A gang leader should also not make empty threats. Mikey seems to care about his own emotional stability over anyone else's and will say and do what he wants at the expense of others.

3 Mikey's Decision Making Is Representative Of Someone His Age

With all the responsibility on his shoulders coupled with the fact that he has been a gang leader for quite some time, Mikey should have the ability to make split-second decisions that are in the best interests of both himself and Toman.

However, this is not usually the case with Mikey. He lets Pah choose whether or not to go to war with Moebius without asking the opinion of anyone else. He tries to take Pah with the rest of them as they were fleeing, after Pah decided to stay and wait for the police after he stabbed someone. He just needs to be able to make better decisions, and hopefully, he can mature enough to do so.

2 Mikey Lets Rage Control Him

tokyo revengers mikey declares fight against valhalla

Mikey doesn't seem too emotional most of the time. There are times that he gets really mad, however, and when he gets angry, nobody can stop him. He almost kills Kazutora for stabbing Baji. Doing so would have changed his life and the lives of many others drastically.

He only stops once Takemichi gets through to him, but he was about to make a life-changing decision through pure rage. Even his closest friends said they couldn't stop Mikey when he's absorbed by fury. Mikey was essentially throwing a tantrum, and no matter what came out of it, everyone would have just accepted the outcome without question.

1 Mikey Still Acts Like A Child Because He Is A Child

Mikey has been through a lot, but he doesn't seem to have grown from his experiences. He still seems to act his age, if not younger, when it comes to his emotions. Draken had to carry him out of a restaurant because he fell asleep after eating, he gets in fights and doesn't even remember what for, and acts out of emotion many times.

He's still young and he can't be expected to act like an adult all the time. Nevertheless, he does have responsibilities and people to protect, so he has a lot of growing up to do. Hopefully, he does it before it's too late.
