Hanako is the newest ghost on the block and stars in the series of the same name. In it, he helps a young girl who slowly starts to fall in love with him named Nene Yashiro, who dreams of meeting her knight in shining armor.

Hanako has a responsibility to keep the supernatural beans who reside in the school with him in check and ends up getting the help of Nene and her exorcist friend Kou Minamoto to assist in his quest.

8 Jibanyan (Yo-Kai Watch)

Jibanyan comes from the series Yo-kai Watch and is a main character. He is the ghost of a kitten hit by a car and loves to lay around eating chocolate. The story in the series even explains Jibanyans past and helps him say goodbye to his owner.

Yukine is a main character in the series Noragami. He is a shinki that can turn into a sword and has powerful spiritual abilities. He spent years wandering around the world on his on before being found by Yato, who gives the spirt a purpose.

Yukine is a trouble maker at the begging of the series and has issues with the fact that he is no longer human. As the series progresses, Yukine does calm down and becomes a much better spirit.

5 Nanana Ryugajo (Nanana's Buried Treasure)

Nanana comes from the series Nanana's Buried Treasure, where she is bound to a single room in the main character's house. Nanana was once an adventure with several treasures but was murdered and now spends her days eating pudding and gaming.

She is overjoyed when Jugo moves into her room, and the two turn out to be a perfect match since he joins his new school's treasure hunters club. If fans are looking for an adventure show, then this one is a perfect pick.

4 No Face (Spirited Away)

No Face is possibly the most famous spirit on this list and comes from the Studio Ghibli movie Spirited Away. While No Face is at first hostile and rampages around the bathhouse demanding food and eating servers, he calms down thanks to Chihiro.

Fuyumi comes from Blood Lad, where she accidentally enters the demon world and gets killed by a plant. She encounters Staz, the vampire who makes it his personal quest to get her to the human world so she can come back to life.

Fuyumi is a laid back girl who is the target of Staz's fascination due to her being from the land of anime in his eyes. Fuyumi only wants to get back to Japan and must believe fully in Staz to do so.

2 Fujiwara-No-Sai (Hikaru No Go)

Sai is another ghost that stars in a Shonen Jump series titled Hikaru no Go. The series revolves around the game of Go and a young boy by the name of Hikaru, who Sai agrees to help become a professional Go player due to his love of the game.

Sai is a kind mentor who is happy to play. Go again as he has been trapped in a Go board since the Edo period in Japan. He is more than happy to work with Hikaru to once again enjoy the game he loved when he was alive.

1 Yunohana Yuuna (Yuuna And The Haunted Hot Springs)

Yunohana is a ghost from the Shonen Jump series Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs. In the series, a young exorcist named Kogarashi Fuyuzora moves into the room that Yuno haunts and vows to help figure out her final wish.

Yuna is a sweet, but klutzy ghost who is just happy to be around her friends. She can't remember her human life at all and starts to form a deeper relationship with Kogarashi, who she admires as the series continues on.
