Tobey Maguire, who starred as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy from 2002 to 2007, shared that he took a few of his costumes home with him.

During an AMA on the r/movies subreddit to promote his new movie Babylon, a fan asked Maguire if he had kept "anything cool" from the Spider-Man films. Maguire revealed that, like other superhero actors, he had kept some of his Spider-Man costumes, and added, possibly as a joke, that he uses them as pajamas. "I have a red Spidey suit and a black Spidey suit AKA my PJs," he said.

Following a decade-plus absence from the Spidey suit, Maguire reprised his role as Peter Parker in 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home alongside Marvel Cinematic Universe star Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield, who starred in 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man and its sequel in 2014. Garfield shared that the three actors bonded over their shared challenges in wearing the skintight suit, particularly when it came to using the bathroom.

"There was a brotherhood that got created between Tobey [Maguire], Tom [Holland] and myself. And that's healing," Garfield said. "We were like, 'Oh, my God, you find it hard to pee in the suit? I find it hard to pee in the suit!'" Garfield also revealed that Holland was "jealous" of his Spider-Man suit "because I have little zippers in my suit that I can get my hands out of very easily." He added that Holland's suit design forced him to operate his phone's touch screen with his nose.

At the moment, whether or not Maguire or Garfield will wear the Spider-Man suit on screen again remains unconfirmed. However, Raimi previously admitted that he was optimistic that a new Spider-Man movie with Maguire could happen down the line. Raimi, who made his own return to superhero movies with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, shared that while he doesn't have a story or a plan for a fourth outing, "anything is possible [...] in the Marvel universe, any team-ups."

Maguire has appeared as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Spider-Man (2002), Spider-Man 2 (2004), Spider-Man 3 (2007) and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). His performance in No Way Home earned him a Guinness World Record, shared with Willem Dafoe, for the longest career as a live-action Marvel character. This record has since been re-broken by Sir Patrick Stewart in his role as Professor X in Multiverse of Madness.

Apart from his tenure as Spider-Man, Maguire has appeared in films such as Brothers (2009) and The Great Gatsby (2013). Currently, the actor serves as an executive producer on Babylon, in which he stars alongside Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Diego Calva.
