Tom Holland has already earned the praise of fans and critics alike for his debut as Spider-Man in "Captain America: Civil War," but now he's received a thumbs up from the big screen's original wall-crawler.

Tobey Maguire, who starred in Sam Raimi's three "Spider-Man" films, shared a fan mashup on Instagram that depicts his Peter Parker seeing Holland's web-slinger for the first time -- an encounter that sends him racing to his room for his own costume.

"Haha seriously, who made this?" Maguire wrote. "@tomholland2013 good job! You are great as Spider-Man. Keep it up!"

The 40-year-old actor was also supportive of Andrew Garfield, who starred in 2012's "The Amazing Spider-Man" and its 2014 sequel, going so far as to interview him for a magazine four years ago. "I was certainly curious as to who was going to play Peter Parker," Maguire told Garfield. "When I heard it was you, I was literally like, 'Fucking perfect!'"

Holland, who turns 20 next month, will don the red-and-blue costume again for "Spider-Man: Homecoming," arriving July 6, 2017.
