Longtime Turtles fans will flash back to their youths with 8-Bit Cinema's take on "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows," which retells the plot of the 2016 film in an unmistakable '80s arcade style.

The three-minute video comes complete with 8-bit graphics, music, point tallies and plenty of scrolling text. It takes the film's essential action scenes (the city chase scene, the fight at the lab, the airplane battle, the waterfall), and intersperses them with just a few moments of dialogue and story, all in the style of an old-school game. There's even an unexpected "Player 2" drop-in from Casey Jones and brief "button mashing" sequence.

After choosing to "continue" following their defeat in Brazil, the Heroes in a Half Shell head to the Technodrome to take on Krang in a classic boss battle. Following a tense fight, they're able to defeat him, and celebrate their victory along with Casey Jones and Master Splinter back in the sewers.

8-Bit Cinema is the brainchild of art director David Dutton. They've also done renditions of "Star Wars," "Guardians of the Galaxy," "Mad Max: Fury Road," "The Avengers," "Spirited Away," "Blade Runner" and "Pulp Fiction," among others.
