The Titans Reveal Their Cheekiest Member - Superboy's Buns of Steel

WARNING: The following contains spoilers for the Titans Season 2 episode "Conner," streaming now on DC Universe.

Although Titans has had its share of noteworthy guest stars, from the oddball Doom Patrol to the gleefully murderous Nuclear Family to the unexpectedly warm Bruce Wayne, they pale in comparison to the latest: Conner Kent's bare ass.

Certain to become a Tumblr favorite, and launch countless memes, Conner's moon of Krypton plays a prominent role in the opening scene of this week's episode, which revisits the Season 1 finale's surprise post-credits scene. Although the original sequence obscured "Experiment 13" in shadow as he tore his way through Cadmus Laboratories to free Krypto, here actor Joshua Orpin has only a bundle of stolen clothes in his hand to hide his, um, Phantom Zone. His Buns of Steel are on full display.

It's not only for a fleeting glimpse, either. Conner hurls a Cadmus employee into a wall monitor, and then steps into the light, Krypto at his side. For a good eight seconds, we're given an unobstructed view of his backside, perhaps confirming this clone indeed received the best parts of Superman and Lex Luthor.

While certainly tame by, say, the standards of cable television, this scene is the first actual nudity in Titans, which, between its language and violence, is intended to be a "mature" series. Before this, the closest the show had come was the implied post-transformation nakedness of Gar (Ryan Potter), generally played for laughs, and the relatively subdued sex scene with Dick (Brenton Thwaites) and Kory (Anna Diop) midway through Season 1.

It's also the most memorable character introduction on the series to date, beating out the timely arrival of Curran Walters as Jason Todd in the final moments of Season 1, Episode 5. The official debut of Orpin's Conner Kent is a moonshot, by comparison.

Streaming now on DC Universe, Titans Season 2 stars Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson, Anna Diop as Kory Anders, Teagan Croft as Rachel Roth, Ryan Potter as Garfield Logan, Curran Walters as Jason Todd and Conor Leslie as Donna Troy, with Minka Kelly as Dawn Granger, Alan Ritchson as Hank Hall, Joshua Orpin as Superboy, Chelsea Zhang as Rose Wilson, Chella Man as Jericho, Drew Van Acker as Aqualad, Esai Morales as Deathstroke and Iain Glen as Bruce Wayne.
