A new photo from Titans Season 3 teases a big surprise in the HBO Max series' next episode.Posted to the official DCTitans Twitter, the characteristically dark image shows someone dragging a body bag down a hallway in the next episode of Titans, which is titled "Lazarus." Just what is in the body bag and who is dragging it aren't clear. However, as DCTitans notes in a subsequent comment, "We gonna find out what's in the bag tomorrow."RELATED: Titans: [Spoiler's] Death Is Tragic - But It Had to Happen

While just who is in the body bag isn't clear at this time, Titans' upcoming episode, "Lazarus," will focus on just how Jason Todd became Red Hood, which has so far remained a mystery. At the start of Titans Season 3, Jason confronted the Joker and was seemingly killed. However, the former Boy Wonder soon returned as the villainous Red Hood.

Since Jason's death, the Titans have discovered someone tampered with the former Boy Wonder's body, but just why has remained a mystery. In the show's latest episode, "Blackfire," Dick Grayson/Nightwing discovered Jason had struck up a mentor/mentee relationship with Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow, one of Batman's deadliest rogues.

Walters explained to Collider just what viewers can expect form Jason's arc in Titans Season 3, saying, "What we saw at the end of Season 2, him feeling betrayed, I think he kind of feels, to Bruce, that he was a mistake, and Bruce doesn't even believe in him. So that was the final straw. Obviously, he gets interested with Scarecrow and whatnot. So, yeah. It's a beautiful journey we get to explore. Hopefully, the fans are going to love it. And we see so much emotional stuff of Jason this season. It's pretty intense."

Based on characters from DC, Titans was created by Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns and Greg Berlanti. The series originally debuted on DC Universe in 2018 and stayed there for two seasons. However, when that platform rebranded as DC Universe Infinite and dropped its original TV content earlier this year, Titans moved to HBO Max.

Just what's in the body bag will be revealed in Titans Season 3, Episode 5, "Lazarus," which releases on Aug. 26. Currently, the first four episodes of Titans Season 3 are available to stream on HBO Max alongside Seasons 1 and 2.
