The following contains spoilers for Titans Season 4, Episode 4 "Super Super Mart," streaming now on HBO Max.

A new episode of Titans prophetizes that the team and Starfire are fated to die against their latest threat, one tied to another that they have faced before.

During the episode "Super Super Mart," the young heroes revisit the site where an asylum belonging to the "Organization" used to be. When the locale was last seen in Season 1, the Organization -- which worships Trigon, Raven's demonic father -- tortured Nightwing, Starfire, Beast Boy and Raven, but it burned down after its gas piping system caught fire and exploded. In Season 4, the grounds are now the site of a supermarket, but underneath lies a hidden prison, where the Titans discover a twisted story book predicting all of their deaths.

Titans Starfire Dead Prophecy Book

Three pages are shown from the book during the episode, the first believed by Raven (Teagan Croft) to be representative of her bringing about Trigon's arrival on Earth. The second appears to show Starfire (Anna Diop) bleeding out, her throat slit. The third and final page seen depicts several fallen heroes, Starfire saying, "This could be all of us."

The visit to the hidden chamber not only holds the "creepy fairy tale," as Starfire calls it, but several tapes recorded by the Organization. The audio recordings reveal that Sebastian Blood (Joseph Morgan) is actually the son of Trigon and Mother Mayhem (Franka Potente), making him Raven's half-brother. This links the cult led by Mother Mayhem to Trigon and the prophecy that the team, especially Starfire, tried to prevent during Titans' very first season.

Titans Season 4 Revisits Threats From the Show’s First

Starfire's original reason for leaving her home planet, Tamaran, and venturing to Earth was to stop Trigon's prophesied arrival. Before losing her memories, she was prepared to do so by killing Raven. Starfire didn't go through with this, however, and at the beginning of Titans Season 2, Raven seemingly defeated her father, and he disappeared.

In "Jinx," the episode before "Super Super Mart," Starfire experiences a vision of the Tamaranean Zadira, who tells the hero that she "alone can save them" and that her "destiny has arrived." Whether Starfire is meant to survive her destiny "when the red moon fills the sky" remains to be seen, but one Titan's life appears to be in jeopardy already. After a battle with a magically-reanimated Deathstroke, Superboy is wounded and begins throwing up blood and a snake, which is exactly how one of his two fathers, Lex Luthor (Titus Welliver), died, along with several of Luthor's business partners.

New episodes of Titans Season 4 release weekly onThursdays, streaming on HBO Max. The show's first three seasons are available to stream on the platform in their entirety.
