WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for Titans Season 3, Episode 7, "51%," available now on HBO Max.

In Season 3 of Titans, Anna Diop's Koriand'r (aka Starfire) has been thrust into a leadership role as the heroes try to stop Scarecrow and Red Hood from tearing a vulnerable Gotham apart. With the roster bigger, an embattled Dick Grayson is glad Kory's there to help out, as she's made peace with Earth being her new home. However, in the latest episode, Starfire gets a royal moment to remind everyone who she really is, and in the process, it reveals a nasty secret.

Starfire's tentative about her sister, Komand'r (aka Blackfire) being on the team as she knows Blackfire killed their parents and enacted a coup on Tamaran. They end up meeting mob boss Valeska, and Kory brokers a deal with her -- share intel on Scarecrow and she'll bring Valeska's son, Michael, home.

Michael is thoroughly disenchanted with his mom's gangster empire, but Kory convinces him to do the right thing and come back, as doing so will save the city. Unfortunately, when he gets home, Valeska puts a bullet in his head, indicating he was an FBI informant. Smug as ever, Valeska agrees to shake Kory's hand to cement their deal, but Kory, who blames herself for the murder, reminds her, "I'm not only a Titan... I'm a queen!"

Holding Valeska's grip, Kory then flexes her power, and as her hair turns orange and her eyes green, Starfire incinerates the criminal. This means they've lost their own lead, but Blackfire is impressed, as she realizes her cold sister still has a caring heart. It's at this point Blackfire confesses why she tried to raid the throne, admitting with Kory gone and unrest breaking out, the people pointed at her as the "cursed child."

They wanted the black sheep sacrificed, and their dad -- who often said if something was 51 percent right, that was enough to engage in it -- agreed. Their mom did too, ready to kill Komand'r to placate the masses, which is why Blackfire revolted. Sadly, the citizens' uprising wouldn't be quelled, so she came to Earth to bring Kory back to rule with her, as she still loves her planet and people.

Hearing this, Kory feels guilty, as she knows she's accountable for having stayed on Earth without notifying her planet of the reasons why. It's what encourages her to seek to repair the rift by gifting Blackfire gauntlets from Tamaran. This transforms Blackfire into a warrior like Starfire, and makes her eager to solve the case with her sister and embrace the Titans as a new family.

With their relationship healed, these brutal enforcers help bring down Scarecrow's lab, proving to be the cosmic muscle Dick will undoubtedly count on as the war for Gotham's soul heats up. However, if there's ego involved along the way, there could be tension in the ranks, as Starfire knows she's more than just your average human or superhero, and doesn't need to play by Batman's no-kill policy.

The first seven episodes of Titans Season 3 are available now on HBO Max. Episode 8 will be released Sept. 16.
