The DC series' upcoming fourth season looks to continue a trend established back in the first season of naming episodes after the show's cast of characters. Four new characters set to debut in Titans Season 4, Part 1 have received episodes named after them: Lex Luthor, Mother Mayhem, Brother Blood and Jinx. TV veteran Titus Welliver will play Superman's arch-nemesis Lex Luthor, with the Season 4 trailer suggesting that he will be the season's big bad. Franka Potente's Mother Mayhem and Joseph Morgan's Brother Blood will also serve as villains in the upcoming season while the loyalties of Lisa Ambalavanar's Jinx are not yet known. The character has previously been depicted as both an enemy and ally to the Titans.

Season 4 Props Tease a Superman Cameo

"Having saved Gotham, the Titans hit the road to head back to San Francisco. But after a stop in Metropolis, they find themselves in the crosshairs of a supernatural cult with powers unlike anything they’ve faced before," reads the upcoming season's official synopsis. The season set in Metropolis as well as the inclusion of Lex Luthor has led many fans to believe that Superman will be making a physical appearance in Season 4. This speculation among fans was further fueled after the Titans booth at the 2022 New York Comic Con displayed Clark Kent's glasses and a letter written by Superman to Superboy alongside other props from the upcoming fourth season. At the time of writing, no casting for Titans' Superman has been rumored or announced by DC or HBO Max.
