WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Season 2 of Titans, streaming now on DC Universe.

The sophomore season of Titans was a mixed bag of top-tier superhero content and disappointing storytelling. It had moments of greatness, including the introduction of Superboy and Jericho, but faltered when attempting to deliver a satisfying overarching story. That said, the series has a chance to redeem itself in the upcoming third installment.

The DC Universe original series was renewed late last year and is expected to hit the streaming service this fall. They need to take their time to focus on creating an improved product that learns from its mistakes and delivers on its promises. There's a chance to win over those fans who don't feel like the show has reached its potential yet. In order to do this, we believe there are certain steps the show needs to take. CBR is here to breakdown 5 things we want to see in Titans Season 3, and 5 things we don't.

10 Want: Deathstroke Still Alive

Titans Deathstroke Slade Wilson

As the primary antagonist for Season 2, Esai Morales' Deathstroke checked all the boxes for the classic DC villain. He was the intimidating, deadly Terminator with a suit ripped straight from DC Comics lore. However, he met a very anticlimactic end in the finale that does a disservice to the character and his impact on the series.

After being stabbed by Rose and left for dead, his fate is still up in the air due to his superabilities. He should come back at some point in the upcoming season, even if he isn't the primary antagonist. His rivalry with the Titans team is legendary, and it would be a shame if they decided to permanently remove their only good villain.

9 Don't Want: Donna Troy Ressurection

In perhaps the most controversial moment in the series thus far, the Season 2 finale saw Donna Troy/Wondergirl bite the dust after the heroes saved the day in the carnival. A random pillar, inexplicably charged with visible electricity, kills the superpowered heroine after the fight was already over. Not only is the scene jarring, but it gives the character a poor ending after being sidelined for most of the season.

The fact she dies isn't even the worst part, it's that her resurrection is immediately set up. If they want people to take the series seriously, own up to your choices and leave a superhero dead for once. Besides, there are already too many members in the Titans roster.

8 Want: Beast Boy Turning into More Animals

Gar Logan speaking into a phone in Titans

This is likely the most popular take out of this entire list, but it doesn't make it any less true. After two entire seasons, Beast Boy has only been seen as a tiger and (very) briefly as a snake. Not once have they attempted to have Gar learn to use the full extent of his powers and the finale did not tease anything of the sort.

Season 3 needs to rectify this situation in a satisfying way. Allow the character to reach his full potential by giving him a more prominent role in the team and proper development.

7 Don't Want: Hawk and Dove Subplot

If anything needed to be cut out of the character-filled second season of Titans, it was the lackluster Hawk and Dove storyline. Although a highlight of the first season, the crime-fighting duo's struggles just didn't fit in with the overall narrative this time around.

They work well enough with the team but don't make them live in the middle of nowhere or receive vague threats from people we're never seeing again. It's also a shame that Hank's addiction was prominent yet handled poorly due to the lack of a clear arc.

6 Want: Roy Harper

After being teased in Season 2, DC Comics legend Roy Harper should make his debut in the series. Arsenal is a prominent member of the Titans in the comics and has a history with Donna Troy. Her death could be the gateway for Arsenal to be introduced as they have already established their relationship.

With that being said, due to the jam-packed Titans roster, there is no need for him to join the team permanently. Just establish those comic-accurate connections with the team and make him a valuable acquaintance of the Titans.

5 Don't Want: Raven not being in control of her powers

In addition to doing a disservice to Beast Boy's abilities, Raven has not had a consistent set of powers since the beginning. After defeating her father Trigon in the Season 2 premiere, she gained a number of new, vague supernatural abilities that range from instant healing to gruesomely tearing someone apart.

It's clear she is still on the journey to becoming the hero fans know and love, but it's frustrating to see a lack of attention to clearly defining her limits. At times it can come off as purely plot-convenient, such as when she can't heal Donna after being electrocuted yet can bring Beast Boy back to life.

4 Want: Jericho to get his own body

After doing a fantastic job as Jericho, Chella Man deserves more screentime as the superpowered son of Slade Wilson. The Season 2 finale had him leaving his father's body for his sister Rose, someone he has never met before, and now lives inside of her. Beyond being a bit concerning, this doesn't allow Jericho to conquer his own body and be the hero he wants to be.

In a show filled with comic-accurate costumes, it was disappointing to see Jericho join the team yet not be able to gain the superhero persona. The back and forth between him and Rose could be interesting, however, Jericho ultimately needs to end up getting his own body again.

3 Don't Want: No More Secrets

Titans Robin Dick Grayson

If only one thing can be taken away from Titans Season 2, it's the fact that secrets can deteriorate the soul. A number of times throughout the series certain information, such as the death of Jericho, only known by Dick and the original Titans, is not told to Starfire or anyone else. Many conflicts within the team could've been avoided if they had done so.

The issue is that there isn't enough reason to remain so secretive after all those years, especially since so lives hang in the balance due to the Titans' past with Deathstroke. It comes off as unnecessary tension for the most part, which is something the upcoming third season needs to avoid at all costs.

2 Want: Superboy meets Lex Luthor

As a major highlight of Season 2, Superboy is one of the overwhelmingly positive aspects of the series. Joshua Orpin's charming performance as Connor Kent allows for an entirely new dynamic in the evergrowing team roster. His internal conflict between good and evil is engaging and a worthwhile journey for the show.

In order to provide further development, it would be a logical step forward to introduce Lex Luthor himself on the show. Luthor's DNA makes up one-half of Conner, so it would make sense for him to confront his maker after learning about his origin. Although he could also meet Superman, Conner's evil tendencies are something that needs to be dealt with first.

1 Don't Want: Red Hood

After his rendezvous alongside Rose ended in tragedy Jason Todd left the team during the finale, seemingly setting up his Red Hood persona. While it can be assumed we'll see him again at some point, Season 3 should shift focus to the main roster instead. The iconic story arc deserves a good chunk of a season in order to do it justice.

Curran Walters excels in bringing Batman's sidekick to life while working extremely well with the rest of the cast. And it's inevitable he becomes the brooding anti-hero but Titans should take their time with him as there's an abundance of characters they need to worry about. With Blackfire on the horizon, the team will have enough on their hands.
