WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Season 2 of Titans, streaming now on DC Universe.

Titans' Season 2 has been all about redemption, and naturally, it involves vigilantes trying to make amends within their own camp, outrunning the law at various intervals. After all, Dick Grayson's been all about bringing the team back into the public spotlight this season after we found out Deathstroke sent them into early retirement.

As events unfold, though, it seems that while the crimefighters aren't sanctioned by authorities and could be facing a slap on the wrist here and there, they take things to another level, engaging in some serious crimes themselves, only to be mysteriously absolved. For some reason, amid a series of infractions from various parties, these lawless "heroes" just don't face any repercussions whatsoever in the Titans Universe.

GARFIELD'S MURDER SPREE IS FORGOTTEN

This season saw Beast Boy kidnapped by CADMUS and brainwashed by Mercy Graves, Manchurian Candidate style. He was programmed to attack and kill when activated, and the sleeper agent not only turned into a tiger to maul people in public in San Francisco's broad daylight, he also went on a feast at the city's carnival in the finale. And when Raven and the Titans save him after beating Deathstroke, everyone around can see him changing back from his tiger form. They all have cell phones, too, so it should stand to reason Gar be turned in or at least sent viral for, you know, eating innocent people.

Instead, though, the people simply applaud the Titans for saving the day, conveniently ignoring they're now harboring the same tiger who went on a rampage. It's odd Gar doesn't make the news for this later on as a fugitive, but still, one has to think the authorities will at some point put out an APB for him before the episode ends. It never happens, though, and everyone, including Bruce Wayne, glosses over the fact that Gar's a beastly mass murderer as they have dinner and plan a future with a killer on their team.

CONNER GETS REPEATED HALL PASSES

Conner Kent, aka Superboy, probably gets the most free passes this season. He attacked CADMUS' agents early on, but seeing as they're evil, we're not going to count them. However, Conner did beat down countless police officers downtown when he and Gar went for a boys' day out after Dick and the Titans left them high and dry at the tower. It was a savage assault that surely left some law enforcers either dead or close to broken as he used his super-strength and heat vision to full effect.

It's made even worse in the finale when CADMUS also had Conner programmed to attack the carnival, fighting off Gar as a tiger in a showcase for suitors interested in a super-soldier. Seeing Superboy in the public spotlight so much has to make him public enemy number one, especially after repeat offences. Yet, just like Gar, when he's broken out of CADMUS' mind control by Raven, he's suddenly forgiven for taking the sinister organization down at the carnival. Seriously, all's well that ends well and he joins Dick's squad, no questions asked. None of his past transgressions are addressed, so it's either people won't remember him as a wanted man when he's operating officially with the team in Season 3 or someone used the Men in Black neuralizer and San Francisco's been mind-wiped.

DICK GRAYSON'S INVISIBLE TO... EVERYONE

Rachel speaks to Dick outside of the plane in Titans

Dick went to prison this season for beating down airport security so he could punish himself for Jericho's death. He was placed in solitary confinement for helping convicts escape later on, too, so when he breaks out to go track down Deathstroke once and for all, one has to think a nationwide manhunt would ensue. Instead, he's able to leave the Kansas prison, magically teleport to Las Vegas to meet Deathstroke's wife and head back to San Francisco with his new Nightwing suit -- all without being spotted.

We know he's a master of disguise who's been trained by Batman, but it's hard to ask viewers to suspend their disbelief like this. Nonetheless, his apparent teleporting abilities aside, after Dick helps the Titans kill Deathstroke and bring Conner and Gar home, are we just supposed to believe the public will forget about him being an escaped convict? It's either that or he never shows up as his civilian persona in public again. Unless Bruce has the clout to expunge these records, Dick should be back in jail. He's a former detective, so the spotlight on him should be even brighter. Once more, though -- magically -- Dick's a free man and there are no criminal records or consequences to worry about.
