While the first season of Titans focused on the core group of Dick Grayson, Raven, Beast Boy and Starfire, the four characters aren't the only teenage superheroes that appeared on the DC Universe series. We also saw Hawk and Dove, Jason Todd's second Robin, Donna Troy, and the arrival of Superboy was teased in the after-credits scene of the season finale.

Now, thanks to a casting call sent out by Rochester/Finger Lakes Film Commission in New York, it appears another classic member of the Teen Titans will be coming in the series' second season: Jericho.

Here is the full casting call description:

“LOOKING FOR DEAF ACTORS! “I’m the Casting Associate on season 2 of the DC superhero series TITANS, and we recently released the below breakdown. Because of the context of the role, we would really like to look for actors who are deaf or hard of hearing, and are fluent in ASL. If you know of any current or former students who might fit the below description, please send them my way, or have them send their contact/rep info to my email. Thanks!

ROLE: Male, 21-24, Mixed Latino or Mixed Asian. As a young boy, Max was a kind-hearted soul who never measured up to the expectations of his domineering military father. Bullied by his peers, he retreated even further inward. He’s a misfit who’s always longed for acceptance and love, but never found it, always suffering betrayal by those he dared to believe in most. As a result, he’s grown into a young man who now longs to inflict pain on all those who have caused him pain… 7/13 SERIES REGULAR… PLEASE ALSO SUBMIT ACTORS WHO ARE DEAF OR HARD OF HEARING, AND NOTE ANY ACTORS WHO ARE FLUENT IN ASL.”

In the comics, Jericho is the alter ego of Joseph Wilson, the son of Slade Wilson, aka Deathstoke. While the description refers to the character as Max, this wouldn't be the first time that a casting notice hides the real name of the role it is advertising. Besides, mentions of a "domineering military father" would seem to point at Deathstroke.

The notice also reveals that the agency is looking to cast "actors who are deaf or hard of hearing," and who speak American Sign Language. In the source material, after a devastating attack by his father's enemies, a young Joseph was left mute, which adds fuel to the theory that Jericho will join the Titans in Season 2.
