Noting that the new series works best when it leans more into its original comic book source material and focuses on the ensemble nature of its premise, the consensus of reviews admit there are still some growing pains for the adaptation to overcome but largely succeeds overall.

Based on the DC Comics team of the same name, the series has police detective Dick Grayson find a supernaturally powered girl named Raven who is targeted by a nefarious organization. In order to protect her, Batman's former sidekick reassumes the mantle of Robin and assembles a new team to take them on.
