Rose Wilson is the daughter of Slade Wilson, better known as Deathstroke. As Ravager, Rose has followed in her father’s footsteps in several ways, also becoming a highly trained assassin. Since Deathstroke is easily one of the best assassins in the DC Universe, Rose would, of course, be almost as deadly.

Over the years, Ravager has held a complicated place within the DC Universe as a whole. Her relationship with the Teen Titans has evolved in several ways along with her relationship with her own father. Rose is such an integrated part of Teen Titans history though, that she is even about to debut on the Titans TV series. To help prepare for her upcoming presence, here is our list of the 10 things to know about Ravager.

10 Her Mother

Lillian Worth is Rose’s mother who had a brief affair with Deathstroke following the end of his first marriage. Lillian would eventually become pregnant, but keep the child a secret due to her complicated relationship with Slade. Eventually, Lillian and Slade would cross paths again, leading to him discovering his daughter when she was about 14 years old. However, Rose still wouldn’t learn that Slade was actually her father until some time later. Oddly enough, the original Ravager (who is also Deathstroke’s half-brother) is actually the one who reveals Slade to Rose, making the family drama all the more complex in the Wilson family.

9 Training

Deathstroke may be one of the world’s best assassins, but he wasn’t the only influence on Rose’s incredible skills. Surprisingly, Nightwing was actually her instructor for a time as well. Therefore, the combination of both fighting techniques only made Rose even more deadly.

She would even develop a small crush on the former Robin, though he never saw her in any romantic way. Regardless, Nightwing still tried to teach her some non-lethal ways of combat, which Rose would actually use from time to time. Yet, her complicated nature and divided loyalty kept her in a constant moral back and forth in more ways than one.

8 She Is a Key Teen Titans Villain

As the daughter of the Teen Titans’ biggest villain, Ravager has of course gone against the team from time to time. Thanks to her training from her father (and later Nightwing), Ravager has proven to be an incredibly formidable opponent. At times, she has acted solo, making it a bit easier for the team to band together against her. However, whenever she and her father work together, they have even managed to defeat the superteam. Ravager is so skilled, that very little extra assistance is needed for her to take out the entire team. Furthermore, her incredibly close relationships with many members make her all the more deadly.

7 She is a Key Teen Titans Member

For as many times as Ravager has stood against the team, it seems she has also been a part of it. Thanks to her complicated relationship with her father, Ravager’s own sense of morality often becomes jumbled. This has resulted in her being one of the most effective members of the Teen Titans, thanks to her own abilities and unique skills.

However, even though she would try and do good, Ravager’s past seemed to constantly conflict with her role as a member, often leading to tensions with other members. No matter how effective Ravager was as a Teen Titan, being Deathstroke’s daughter would continually haunt her.

6 Her Powers

Aside from her incredible skills as an assassin, Ravager also possesses her own metahuman abilities. Part of what makes Rose so deadly is her ability to see into the future. However, there are limits to this ability, as her visions aren’t always the most accurate. Furthermore, she can’t see too far into the future. Rose typically only sees moments into the future, giving her an advantage over opponents as she is able to see what move they will make next. Because of this, Rose possesses the potential to be a better, deadlier assassin than even her father.

5 Like Father, Like Daughter

On top of her ability to see into the future, Rose also possesses her father’s artificially enhanced abilities. Surprisingly though, Rose didn’t receive this gift just from being her father’s daughter. In her early days of training, Slade injected her with the serum that made him such an effective killer.

However, he did it without her knowledge or permission, further adding to their already complicated relationship. While this boost has certainly helped Ravager throughout the years, Slade also ensured that her future would be a rocky, complicated one.

4 In Other Media

With the rising popularity of Deathstroke, Rose has also been seen to have a few appearances outside of comics. Recently, it was announced that season 2 of the DC Universe TV show, Titans, would feature the character in what looks to be a fairly large role.

Furthermore, Ravager has also appeared on the CW’s Arrow, though it wasn’t the Rose Wilson version of the character. Lastly, a version of her appeared in Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go! though she was of course, much more suited for that style of the show. Ravager has also had a few appearances in some DC themed video games, though not much elsewhere.

3 The New 52

During DC’s New 52 relaunch, several key changes were made to Ravagers character. Her powers were significantly greater, with the added ability to dampen other individual’s abilities. While this made Ravager even more powerful, the actual reception from fans wasn’t received as well. Though Rose never played too big a role during the New 52, The change was still significant enough that many fans of the character didn’t really approve of. Thankfully though, as of DC Rebirth, Rose seems to have lost that ability and returned to her Pre-Flashpoint character.

2 How She Lost Her Eye

One notable aspect of Ravager is that, like her father, she is also missing an eye. The way she lost it is actually significantly darker than how her father lost his own. After Deathstroke tried to force Rose to kill her half brother, Rose refused, but stabbed her own eye out to prove her devotion to her father.

Thus, Ravager and her father were all the more similar. Though this would do little to inhibit Ravager’s own skills, the fact that she was willing to do so shows just how dark and insane her character can get at times.

1 Her Relationship With Kid Devil

For a time, Rose would actually develop a small romance with her fellow teammate, Kid Devil. Like most other relationships in Rose’s life, this one was incredibly complicated. The two never really got the chance to explore their feelings for each other because Rose would side with Deathstroke once again, shortly after things began getting serious between them. Furthermore, now that she had betrayed the team, the two never reconnected to the same degree as before. With her complicated nature, it is nice to think that Rose would eventually be able to find someone, however, that looks like it won’t be the case for the foreseeable future.
