Coinciding with the series' world premiere Wednesday night at New York Comic Con, DC Universe has released a new trailer for Titans that drops more clues about Raven's destiny, and unites the team against a mysterious common enemy.

Debuting Oct. 12 on the new streaming service, the first season of Titans follows Dick Grayson and Rachel Roth (aka Raven), who become embroiled in a conspiracy that could bring hell on Earth. They’re joined by Starfire and Beast Boy, and together they form a surrogate family and a team of heroes. The series has already been renewed for Season 2.

The new footage hones in on Rachel's importance, revealing she's key to bringing her unnamed father to Earth, for sinister purposes, of course. In DC comics lore, her father is the interdimensional demon Trigon, who's expected to play a role in the series. Beyond that, the trailer also offers more glimpses of Ryan Potter's Garfield Logan, in human and animal forms, and hints at a budding romance between Robin and Starfire.
