It revolves around Dick carving out a new identity as a man and a leader. 3 / 8

By having Bruce design the Nightwing suit, though, the new hero becomes his creation. 4 / 8

Nightwing's simply an upgraded Robin, made by Bruce once more. 5 / 8

We don't mind Dick using Bruce's tools and people to make the costume. 6 / 8

But preventing him from designing it himself defeats Nightwing's purpose as a self-made hero. 7 / 8

It's made worse when Bruce lectures Dick about how to lead the Titans. 8 / 8
