Writer Tom Taylor told CBR the upcoming Titans series will lead to a "massive" change in the DC Universe.

CBR spoke with Taylor (Adventures of Superman: Jon Kent, Nightwing), Joshua Williamson (Superman, Green Arrow), Tom King (Wonder Woman), Chip Zdarsky (Batman), Phillip Kennedy Johnson (Action Comics, Green Lantern) and Tini Howard (Harley Quinn) about "Dawn of DC" -- a yearlong publishing initiative giving new series to characters such as the Flash, Hawkgirl, Hal Jordan and many others -- in an exclusive interview. Taylor said Titans, a new series spinning out of the events of Nightwing and Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths that he's working on with artist Nicola Scott, will bring about so huge changes to the DC Universe in ways fans likely won't see coming. Taylor explained, "There's something upcoming in the Gotham universe that's getting a lot of fire under a lot of people, it's going to be really exciting. There's something that's going to spin out of Titans, that's huge and massive, massive thing."

The Titans Are Replace the Justice League in "Dawn of DC"

At the end of Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths #7 (by Williamson, Daniel Sampere, Jack Herbert, Giuseppe Camuncoli, Cam Smith, Rafa Sandoval, Alejandro Sanchez, Alex Guimaraes, Romulo Fajardo Jr., Matt Herms and Tom Napolitano), the Justice League officially disbanded for the time being. Nightwing/Dick Grayson was personally tapped by Superman and Wonder Woman to both protect the planet from whatever threats may exist in the meantime and lead the heroes into a brand-new age.

In Nightwing #100 (by Taylor, Bruno Redondo, Scott McDaniel, Rick Leonardi, Eddy Barrows, Javier Fernandez, Mikel Janín, Karl Story, Eber Ferreira, Caio Filipe, Joe Prado, Adriano Lucas and Wes Abbott), Dick began this journey as the Titans joined him in Blüdhaven to turn the city's private prison into a new headquarters. Since then, the Titans are sticking around for a time in Nightwing as they assist Dick on a mission that involves the daughter of notorious criminal Blockbuster.
