Following the casting of Alan Ritchson as Hawk, Deadline now reports that actress Minka Kelly has joined the project as Dove, officially completing the duo of Hawk and Dove.

Kelly will play Dawn Granger, otherwise known as Dove, who is one half of the vigilante duo Hawk and Dove. The role is a recurring one, with the possibility that the two may become regulars in season two. There's also potential for a Hawk and Dove spin-off down the road if the duo is received positively.

The news that Hawk and Dove would be joining Titans was first reported by That Hashtag Show, with the site claiming that Warner Bros. was looking at actress Rebecca Rittenhouse for the role, among other candidates.

While Warner Bros. went with Ritchson as rumored, they appear to have gone in a new direction with the casting of Kelly, who is perhaps best known for her work on Friday Night Lights. The actress joins a cast that already includes Teagan Croft as Raven, Anna Diop as Starfire, and Brenton Thwaites as Nightwing.

Titans will be executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Sarah Schechter (Arrow, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Supergirl). The series will air on Warner Bros.’ new DC Comics-branded digital platform that will launch in 2018. No official release date has been announced.
