When it comes to the Teen Titans, most fans will cite the most iconic run as Marv Wolfman and George Perez's stint on New Teen Titans. According to Titans Executive Producer Greg Walker, Wolfman is a big fan of the series.

At DC FanDome's Titans panel, Walker stated that adapting the Perez/Wolfman run was their main goal. He said, "The idea was to take the Perez/Wolfman comics and really live in a world where there’s been 25-30 years of superhero movies since then. The world has changed and we wanted to put this in a real psychologically and emotionally grounded universe."

The interviewer said, "You guys got the thumbs up from Marv Wolfman!" To which, Walker replied, "He’s been in the writers room too it’s been amazing. He comes around and hangs out and talks about what it was like to write the write books. He loves the show, he watches every episode and he’s very close with Geoff Johns so we get the feedback from him, he’s really happy."

During Wolfman's stint on the New Teen Titans, he was responsible for some of the most iconic storylines in Titans history, including the fall of Terra in "Judas Contract" and Dick Grayson's official switch to the Nightwing identity. He co-created several iconic Titans characters, including Starfire.
