Curran Walters, who plays Jason Todd on DC Universe's Titans, has shared the DC comics that he is using to research the role of Red Hood in Season 3.
The actor shared five volumes of different DC titles featuring the Red Hood on his Instagram account. The most notable is Batman: A Death in the Family, which is the controversial story arc that resulted in DC fans voting on whether the Joker would kill Batman's young Robin. Ultimately, the fan vote came back in favor of Jason Todd's death at the hands of the Joker.
Joining the A Death in the Family trade paperback by Jim Starlin, Marv Wolfman, Jim Aparo and George Perez are Batman: Red Hood - The Lost Days by Judd Winick and Pablo Raimundi; Red Hood and the Outlaws Vol. 1: Dark Trinity by Scott Lobdell, Dexter Soy and Veronica Gandini; Batman: Under the Red Hood by Winick, Doug Mahnke, Shane Davis, Eric Battle and Paul Lee; and Red Hood and the Outlaws Vol. 2: Who Is Artemis? by Lobdell, Soy and Kenneth Rocafort.
The Lost Days and Under the Red Hood feature the story of Jason Todd's resurrection at the hands of Ra's al Ghul, while the two volumes of Red Hood and the Outlaws take place during the DC Rebirth era, with Red Hood leading an Outlaws team comprised of Bizarro and Artemis.
Titans Season 3 is set to introduce Jason Todd's transformation from Robin to the gun-toting Red Hood. The announcement came during the Titans panel on Day 1 of DC FanDome. Jason Todd/Red Hood will look to take down his former teammates in the Titans, with the third season also moving the Titans to Gotham City. Also joining Season 3 is Barbara Gordon following in her father's footsteps as the Commissioner of the Gotham City Police Department, and Jonathan Crane as the fear-inducing villain, Scarecrow.
