There are rumors Matt Reeves' The Batman will feature Robin, though exactly which one is unknown. Curran Walters, who plays Jason Todd/Robin on DC Universe's Titans, wants to reprise his role for the upcoming film.

The actor recently tweeted director Matt Reeves, cheekily saying, "let’s make this easy....I’ll play Jason Todd." The post was met with a barrage of references to the character's death at the hands of the Joker during the infamous "Death in the Family" storyline from Twitter users.

As Titans features the first live-action adaptation of Todd, Walters is currently the only face of Batman's infamous sidekick. At this time, there's no guarantee he'd actually get cast in the role, or if Todd/Robin will appear in the film. There's little known for certain about The Batman, though such characters as Catwoman, Riddler and Penguin are reportedly in the film. However, Twilight star Robert Pattinson will take over the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman following Ben Affleck's departure from the role.

Within the DCEU, the existence of Todd's existence in the DC Extended Universe was established in 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. His costume was seen in the Batcave, broken and vandalized. A report from 2018 indicated Reeves' The Batman wouldn't deal with that death, but the script has undergone a number of rewrites since then, so it's possible that has changed. Warner Bros. reportedly wants Pattinson to play Batman across three films, so it's possible that, if Robin doesn't appear in the first movie in the trilogy, he might appear in a later one.
