DC Universe's Titans Season 2 Confirmed

UPDATE 10/03/18: Additional quotes from Titans Executive Producer Geoff Johns added.

Despite its first season not having aired on the DC Universe streaming service just yet, a second season of the live-action superhero ensemble drama Titans was confirmed today at New York Comic Con.

The announcement was made during the DC Universe panel by the series' executive producers, Geoff Johns, Greg Walker and John Fawcett. No additional details about the upcoming season were announced other than its existence.

"I think that shows the faith that DC Universe has in the show and in this amazing cast here and the property," said Johns. "DC is so supportive of it."

Titans centers around a ragtag group of DC Comics heroes and outsiders. In the show, the group is headed up by Brenton Thwaites' Robin, who left his heroing career beside Batman to found the fledgling crew. Joining him is the alien princess Starfire (Anna Diop), the otherworldly Raven (Teagan Croft) and the shapeshifter Beast Boy (Ryan Potter).

"We know Season 2 already," said Johns. "We know everything. We actually know all the characters for Season 2. We know the story of Season 2. Marv Wolfman will be very happy with Season 2."

Titans is just one of many series slated to be released via the DC Universe app, including Doom Patrol, Harley Quinn and Swamp Thing. It was announced earlier today that Doom Patrol is still on track for a 2019 release and that it has nabbed Matt Bomer as the voice of Negative Man. Meanwhile, the entire voice cast of the Harley Quinn series was announced at NYCC.

Titans debuts on DC Universe Oct. 12.
