Geoff Johns debuted a new preview clip for the upcoming DC Universe series Titans on Friday at his New York Comic Con spotlight panel. The clip shows Robin coming to the aid of the heroes Hawk and Dove while they're tangling with some henchmen.

The clip, which starts at around the five-minute mark of today's DC Daily video, offers no greater context for the fight, but does establish that Robin probably shouldn't be hanging around with the duo. "Night out with the bad kids?" Queries Hawk. "Something like that," Robin responds.

The interaction speaks to the larger struggle Robin is going through in Titans, as he is seemingly on the outs with Batman and looking to make a name for himself by establishing his own team, the titular Titans. While Hawk and Dove have rarely been outwardly antagonistic in the comics, Hawk's methods are sometimes considered too brutal without the balancing aspect of Dove's presence.

What role the duo will play in Robin's quest is unclear, but the Boy Wonder may very well be approaching them for advice on how to go it on his own. In that regard, the influence of two vigilantes empowered by the supernatural, outside of the relatively tight-knit circle that is the Batfamily, could very well be considered a corrupting influence on the young crimefighter.

Debuting Friday, Oct. 12 on the DC Universe streaming service, Titans stars Brenton Thwaites as Robin, Anna Diop as Starfire, Teagan Croft as Raven, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, Alan Ritchson as Hawk, Minka Kelly as Dove, and Lindsey Gort as Amy Rohrbach.
