WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Titans Season 3, Episode 11, "The Call Is Coming From Inside the House," available now on HBO Max.

As Season 3 of Titans heats up, Dick/Nightwing (Brenton Thwaites) continues to be broken by Dr. Jonathan Crane (Vincent Kartheiser). Scarecrow's taken over Wayne Manor and turned Gotham against the Titans, even bribing cops to hunt them down. Fortunately, as Crane wages this cerebral war, as one Dynamic Duo is broken, another one, and a much better one at that, rises up.

The bond that's shattered is between Nightwing and Superboy, which occurs as they hole up and try to listen for communiques from their allies. The internet and phones are down so they're going old-school as Gotham's barricaded in by the national guard a la "No Man's Land," but Conner's acting out as he wants to find Blackfire as he's crushing hard.

Nightwing, however, makes it clear as he tracks Red Hood down, he can't risk losing Superboy too as he needs him at their makeshift HQ in case someone calls in. It comes to a head when Dick fails to hack the Bat-cave from Wayne Enterprises, which leads to him grabbing a secret weapon from Bruce's safe. This turns out to be Kryptonite powder, which he uses back at base to knock Superboy and Krypto out.

He apologizes but he knows this is the only way to keep them out the battle as Conner did grab him rather aggressively earlier when he insisted on joining the mission. Whilst he did see Dick as a big brother, this betrayal could now push him towards a sinister Blackfire and maybe even Lex Luthor, as he might think Dick has a god complex like Batman.

However, hope is kindled between Donna Troy and Tim Drake as they find each other. Tim's healed up from the hospital and takes her downtown to his parents' restaurant where he surprisingly has a lair of his own. He's got power there and a setup that can hack the city still -- one he used to unlock the Titans' secrets. Despite his family drama and them not wanting him to fight, Donna admits she needs Tim and backs him, at least until the war's done.

What's impressive is they trust and listen to each other after their return from the afterlife, truly making her a mentor who isn't into manipulation. She even clears the air with his family and thanks to his cousin, Stephen, Wonder Girl is about to link up with a resistance.

These rebels tie into her destiny and Lydia's prophecy she'll be a leader after coming back from limbo. And shockingly, Donna's finally ready to embrace the future and this purpose, acknowledging Tim with his Robin aspirations might just be the Boy Wonder she needs to undo Jason's dirty work.

The first 11 episodes of Titans Season 3 are available now on HBO Max. Episode 12 releases on Oct. 14.
