The first season of Titans ended in spectacular fashion with Dick Grayson killing an out-of-control Batman in a twisted vision of the future. But there was another way the finale could have gone down, with Dick and Jason Todd joining forces with their old mentor.

Titans series costume and prop designer Andrew Speranza posted an image on Instagram showcasing a rare alternate shot of how the show's season 1 finale could unfolded. It showed Batman flanked by his two Robins-- Dick and Jason. Apparently, the Bat-family would have presented a united front in this version of the episode, despite the other episodes of Titans emphasizing the sense of alienation that both Robins feel regarding their old mentor.

Interestingly, Batman's chest plate is missing the iconic Bat symbol, while his pants appear to be a lot more loose-fitting than other versions of the costume. All three heroes' costumes seem inspired by military uniforms, complete with bullet-proof armor and muted colors.

Streaming now on DC Universe, Titans Season 2 stars Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson, Anna Diop as Kory Anders, Teagan Croft as Rachel Roth, Ryan Potter as Garfield Logan, Curran Walters as Jason Todd and Conor Leslie as Donna Troy, with Minka Kelly as Dawn Granger, Alan Ritchson as Hank Hall, Joshua Orpin as Superboy, Chelsea Zhang as Rose Wilson, Chella Man as Jericho, Drew Van Acker as Aqualad, Esai Morales as Deathstroke and Iain Glen as Bruce Wayne.
