Just a week after it was revealed Titans would cast Hawk and Dove, Alan Ritchson has been cast as the former. Hawk, otherwise known as Hank Hall, is part of the crime-fighting duo with Dove, who's yet to be cast.

In a report from Deadline, it was revealed that Ritchson -- who has starred in Smallville as Aquaman and both of the recent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies as Raphael -- has joined the online series. The report also states there could eventually be a Hawk and Dove spin-off series on DC Comics' online streaming service.

In the comics, Hawk and Dove are complete opposites. Hawk is a brute with a bad temper, while Dove is a strategic, softer vigilante. Their roles in Titans are said to be recurring, with the possibility of becoming regulars if a second season happens.

A live-action Titans series had been in development at TNT before being shelved by the cable channel in 2014. However, DC Comics' Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns pledged in early 2015 that DC still had plans for the project. The series went into production last month, as confirmed on Twitter by Johns.

Other actors to be officially cast for the series include Teagan Croft as RavenAnna Diop as Starfire, and Brenton Thwaites as Nightwing.

Titans will be executive produced by Johns, Goldsman, Berlanti and Sarah Schechter (Arrow, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Supergirl). The series will air on Warner Bros’ new DC Comics-branded digital platform that will launch in 2018. No official release date has been announced.
