Prime Video recently dropped the first trailer for the upcoming Reacher series, showcasing Titans star Alan Ritchson as the iconic action hero.

The trailer captures the basics of Lee Child's Jack Reacher-- a highly-trained former military policeman wandering through small towns, trying his hand at being a hero, to the clear chagrin of some law enforcement officers and the apparent delight of others, such as Willa Fitzgerald's Roscoe Conklin, who appears throughout the trailer as a willing accomplice to Reacher's vigilantism.

Prior to the announcement of the upcoming series, the character was previously played by Tom Cruise in the Jack Reacher films. While those films were successful overall, fans of Lee Child's novels criticized Cruise's casting due to his height. Reacher is described in the books as a 6 ft 5 in tall, 250-pound man. When Child announced the property was being rebooted, he mentioned that the role needed to go to an actor who fit that physical description, since it was a significant part of the character.

Aside from Ritchson and Fitzgerald, Reacher stars Malcolm Godwin, Chris Webster, Bruce McGill, Maria Sten, Hugh Thompson, Kristin Kreuk, Harvey Guillén, Willie C. Carpenter, Currie Graham and Maxwell Jenkins. The series is set to premiere on Prime Video on Feb. 4, 2022.
