Coinciding with the start of its third season on Showtime, the television series "Penny Dreadful" will launch a tie-in comic published by Titan Entertainment. Initially announced in December, the comic series will be written by some of the show's writers -- including Chris King, Krysty Wilson-Cairns and Andrew Hinderaker -- and feature artwork from Louie De Martinis.

"Penny Dreadful" #1 will arrive in stores on May 4, just a few days after the start of season three. The issue will be written by series writer Krysty Wilson-Cairns and come with a number of different covers. Guillem March, Ben Templesmith and series artist De Martinis all contributed covers, with photo covers and a blank sketch variant rounding out the offering.
