Gun Honey, the forthcoming four-issue collaboration between Titan Comics and Hard Case Crime, will come to life on the TV screen through an adaptation by Piller/Segan and Double Vision.

Titan shared the news that the production companies are teaming up for a show about weapons expert Joanna Tan and her manhunt for the convict she freed from prison. Piller/Segan and Hard Case Crime have already come together to create Haven, SyFy's supernatural drama based on Stephen King's The Colorado Kid, published by Hard Case Crime in 2005. Gun Honey marks the graphic novel debut of writer and co-founder of Hard Case Crime, Charles Ardai.

"We look forward to continuing our creative partnership with Charles, in concert with our friends and colleagues, Min Lim and Chi-Ren Choong at Double Vision, as we collectively bring GUN HONEY to the screen," said Lloyd Segan of Piller/Segan. He and partner Shawn Piller are known for the ABC Family series Greek and Wildfire, as well as Private Eyes and USA's The Dead Zone.

Double Vision, the Malaysian subsidiary of Vision New Media Group, was behind the Asian adaptation of The Bridge. "I started reading Gun Honey and I didn't put it down till I'd finished the whole thing,” said Min Lim, Head of Production at Double Vision. “Finding a fresh take on the femme fatale is not easy to do, but Charles did exactly that with Joanna and Gun Honey and as Malaysians, we are incredibly excited to work on bringing an authentic South East Asian character to the screen in a big way. And, to be able to do it with Charles and our partners at Piller/Segan is just the icing on the cake!”

Written by Ardai with interior art by Ang Hor Kheng and cover art by Bill Sienkiewicz, Robert McGinnis and Adam Hughes, Gun Honey #1 will hit stores and digital devices on Sept. 22, 2021. The first issue will be available to pre-order in the US from their local comic shop, in the UK/Europe from Forbidden Planet and digitally.
