The Internet conjured up an interesting, but apparently completely incorrect, rumor  that Tina Fey would star in and produce a sequel to the 1993 supernatural comedy Hocus Pocus. But Deadline has stepped in to correct those reports, clarifying that the 30 Rock co-creator is working on a witch-themed production for Disney, but it's not a sequel. The tone is described as similar to that of Ghostbusters.

Directed by Kenny Ortega (Newsies, High School Musical), Hocus Pocus was a horror comedy that starred Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as a trio of witches who accidentally get brought back to life in modern times on Halloween night. From there it's up to three kids and a cat to save the day.

At this point, according to Deadline, no Hocus Pocus sequel is in the works.
