The TikTok community engages in serious debate over who has the better butt: Nightwing or Green Lantern?
Comic book fans have been forced to choose backsides when discussing the matter, deciding between the former Batman protégé, Dick Grayson, or the high-flying Hal Jordan, the second Green Lantern. The debate has users posting comic book panels that either highlight the roundness of their chosen victor, or claim that the other's rear end literally falls flat.
Both heroes are known for wearing costumes of tight spandex that compliment their physique. For Nightwing, this has almost become synonymous with the character who has a heavy background in acrobatics. In the recent Nightwing run by Tom Taylor, Barbara Gordon even notes to Grayson that he wears the tightest costume out of the Bat Family.
For Jordan, the costume also clings close to his form, though the suit and variations of it have been worn by many other Lanterns like Jon Stewart and Kyle Rayner. It seems Hal may be losing the fight here, as many fans appear to be appointing Nightwing as the clear choice to award the best bum in comics.
In terms of who DC might choose, the answer may have already been decided earlier in the year. On Valentine's Day, DC posted a cheeky video of Nightwing onto social media, with the caption, "Grab a plate, Nightwing's serving cake for #ValentinesDay", instead of posting anything about Jordan.
It is unclear how long the battle of bottoms will last or if this is the tail end of the matter. It is also difficult to tell who is trailing behind in the fans' eyes and if there will be a clear winner for the better behind.
