Thor, Watchmen, Priest: September 23rd Comic Reel


According to The Hollywood Reporter, actors Jaimie Alexander and Colm Feore have joined the cast. Alexander, previously seen in "Kyle XY" on ABC Family will play Sif. Feore's role is not named, but the Reporter article states he will be a villian.

Just when you thought it was safe to go near a Blu-Ray player, Warner Bros issues another cut of "Watchmen." This version will feature "Tales of the Black Freighter" woven into the film. The Blu-Ray Blog has other specs and details about the four disc Blu-Ray and the five disc DVD equivalent.

Celebrity photo site Just Jared snapped some photos of star Paul Bettany in full costume in the midst of filming. Meanwhile, IGN talks with actor Paul Gigandet. He breifly mentions the film. "It's like 'The Searchers.' It's a journey movie. You can look at it from a horror point of view, but we've always thought of it as a story of these people on a journey, coming into their own," says the actor.

Rob Liefeld was quite, um, tweeterous yesterday. Superhero Hype spotted the X-Force creator posting about a meeting with Lauren Schuler-Donner. "Deadpool movie checklist- DP in costume-check! Breaking 4th wall-check! Loads of killing-double check!" says Liefeld. He also says Ryan Reynolds is still on board and there may be a place for Cable in future X-Men movies.

DreamWorks could be picking up the Devil's Due series, according to the The Hollywood Reporter. The describe the project as centering " on a zombie cop named Dirge who attempts to saves humanity's remnants, particularly a young girl named Zoe, from evil zombies." While the deal is not yet final, "Star Trek" writers Alex Kurtzman and Robert Orci will serve as producers.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, director Justin Lin of "Fast & Furious" has signed on to directed a remake of "Highlander." The article notes the film will have more of an action emphasis than the original.
