The God of Thunder Thor and Wonder Woman have been compared to each other for years. DC's Amazon princess and Marvel's Agardian both come from ancient eras of the old gods, they both wield magical weapons, and they both have lived amongst humans in disguise.

There was even a lot of comparison between the two back when Chris Hemsworth was cast in Thor and fans were wondering when there would finally be a Wonder Woman movie. There've also been plenty of debates over who would win in a battle between the two, or against each others' villains. Thor might be one of Earth's Mightiest Heroes in Marvel, but Wonder Woman's Rogues know how to put up a fight.

10 Defeated By: Maxwell Lord

Maxwell Lord is going to save the world.

Out of all of Wonder Woman's rogues, Maxwell Lord is probably the one villain where the outcome would largely depend on the exact circumstances he and Thor find themselves in. Now that Lord is a metahuman and a supervillain that was able to use his powers to control Superman's mind, he's not only a tough enemy for Wonder Woman but also Marvel's God of Thunder. Lord's ability to control others, even the Man of Steel, is a tough one to counteract.

9 Could Defeat: Cheetah

Cheetah is one of Wonder Woman's most persistent arch-enemies, but there's no way she could win in a fight against Thor. Nevermind the fact that Thor is a literal god, his immense strength and ability to wield Mjölnir are enough to take out Cheetah in any variation of the character or her powers. Even with post-New 52 Cheetah being able to pierce Superman's flesh, it's really hard to believe that she could beat Thor, especially after she was defeated with electricity in Wonder Woman 1984.

8 Defeated By: Silver Swan

In her latest incarnation, it is very possible for Silver Swan to take on Thor and perhaps even beat him. Her powers come from cybernetic nanites in her blood that not only gave her metallic wings but also her sonic voice, known as "swan song."

While Thor also has his unparalleled powers, the biggest indicator to Silver Swan defeating him is the fact that she is just about an even match for Wonder Woman, and it's been established that Thor would lose to Wonder Woman.

7 Could Defeat: Angle Man

An image of the Wonder Woman villain Angle Man from DC Comics.

The best thing about Wonder Woman's rogues' gallery over the decades has been how absolutely wild the names have been – Doctor Psycho, Blue Snowman, Doctor Cyber – just a lot of silliness. Of that special pantheon, there's Angle Man.

While he does have a cool device that changes any object and its location psionically, he's still a mortal human, which means that it would take A LOT for Thor to be unable to defeat him. Angle Man's Angler device probably wouldn't affect Mjölnir anyway.

6 Defeated By: Grail

Grail

As the daughter of the sinister Darkseid, a DC supervillain that Thor would have a hard time beating, it's safe to say that he would have his hands full trying to take Grail down. Even though she's a newer supervillain, Grail is a formidable foe thanks to her Amazonian knowledge and mystical powers she got from her mother, as well as her ability to manipulate energy, teleport, and use the dreaded Omega beam. Thor is all-mighty and powerful, but he isn't known as the Godkiller.

5 Could Defeat: Doctor Poison

Doctor Poison

Thor's biggest advantage over Doctor Poison is the fact that they have all been mortals with no superpowers. Doctor Poison is a serious adversary though, which is why the character and the name have returned to try and take down whoever she can to get to Wonder Woman since her poisons and gases don't choose who gets destroyed.

These are the Doctor's only offense against Thor, however, and thanks to his enhanced healing factor and his god status, Thor would easily win.

4 Defeated By: The First Born

DC First Born

Another one of Wonder Woman's newer enemies, Zeus is also First Born's father. First Born was left to die as a baby, but he grew up to be strong and filled with hatred for the gods of Olympus and his father.

First Born was a casual cannibal that was eventually able to kill Apollo. He is one tough cookie. And while Thor's powers may be a match for First Born, First Born has the advantage of being able to drain Thor's life from his body.

3 Could Defeat: Doctor Psycho

Doctor Psycho Cropped DC

Thanks to DC's animated Harley Quinn show, Doctor Psycho has never been more popular, even if he's a miserable misogynist. And with a larger audience comes a look at what exactly Doctor Psycho's powers are – he's a telepath who can control the minds of others, with a dash of telekinesis.

These are some pretty impressive abilities, but considering Doctor Psycho's B-List status as a supervillain, it would be quite a feat for him to take down Thor and all of his combined powers or Mjölnir.

2 Defeated By: Circe

Wonder Woman villain Circe

Witchmarked by Hecate, the Greek goddess of witchcraft, Circe is an immortal witch and sorceress who's not to be trifled with. While pre-Flashpoint Circe's powers hardly affected other immortals, the more current version of her character is powerful enough to go after Hecate herself. Thor can manipulate lightning, is a better fighter, and much stronger & faster, but that doesn't amount to much when Circe can slow down time and then just turn Thor into a frog just the way Loki did once.

1 Could Defeat: Ares

Wonder Woman's villain, the god Ares, shakes his fist menacingly in DC Comics

As one of Wonder Woman's greatest enemies (as well as her half-brother/grandfather), Ares is an intimidating force but Thor can undoubtedly take him down. While it's been established that Circe's great mystical powers are what would help her take down Thor, the fact that she was able to take down Ares the god of war when she was de-powered helps Thor's case against Ares. While Ares and Wonder Woman both inherited Zeus' powers over thunderbolts, Thor is an actual god of thunder. Point Thor.
