A new Japanese trailer for Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok has surfaced online, featuring the appearance of another big Marvel Cinematic Universe hero: Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange. Although much of the trailer comes from the Comic-Con International teaser, it boasts some new footage, including the scene with Strange.

"Thor, I sense a great change in your future. Destiny has dire plans for you, my friend," Strange tells the God of Thunder in the trailer, to which Thor responds, "I have dire plans for destiny."

Cumberbatch was confirmed to appear in Thor: Ragnarok back in January, though there has been some indication that he would play a role in the movie since a set photo with his address surfaced in August 2016. Thor then appeared in the post-credits scene for Doctor Strange when it released in November. In that scene, Strange expresses concern about the threat Loki poses to Earth before agreeing to help Thor look for Odin.

Opening November 3, Thor: Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Cate Blanchett as Hela, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Karl Urban as Skurge, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/the Hulk and Anthony Hopkins as Odin.
