A new magazine article confirms Marvel's "Thor: Ragnarok" will include the gladiator world Sakaar, which Hulk inhabited in the popular comic book storyline "Planet Hulk."

In scans from Total Film #254 posted on Twitter, star Chris Hemsworth describes Sakaar as "an insane, far-off, futuristic place which was the biggest shift for the film and these characters." The article also notes that "Sakaar is where Thor will reunite with Mark Ruffalo's Hulk, who has made a name for himself as a gladiator in a plot arc mirroring acclaimed comic series 'Planet Hulk.'"

Although we've known for a while now that director Taika Waititi's film borrows elements from "Planet Hulk" -- the Hulk's gladiator props were unveiled in July at Comic-Con International -- Sakaar had yet to be confirmed as a setting. However, while the Total Film article confirms that Thor and the Hulk will cross paths on the gladiatorial planet, it remains to be seen how much of the film's action unfolds there.

Opening Nov. 3, 2017, "Thor: Ragnarok" also stars Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Cate Blanchett, Tessa Thompson, Karl Urban, Sam Neill and Anthony Hopkins.
