Marvel Studios has just unveiled another new poster for Thor: Ragnarok. The Dolby Cinema-exclusive poster follows the same green-and-blue color scheme seen in other images promoting the threequel. The illustration, a clear throwback to the posters of the '80s, has a vibrancy reminiscent of the Jack Kirby era.
The background features Chris Hemsworth's Thor and his helmet as well as Hela, who stares ominously in the other direction, with the likes of the Executioner, Odin, the Grandmaster, Valkyrie and Loki juxtaposed below. The rest of the image is finished out by a battle-ready and armored-up Hulk and a sword-wielding Heimdall. Asgard can also be seen with tinges of red, perhaps hinting at the bloodshed to come when Hela knocks on its doorstep.
With a 96% Certified Fresh rating on RottenTomatoes, the film is the best-reviewed title in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The movie is expected to earn $400 million at the global box office by Sunday.
Opening on November 3, director Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Cate Blanchett as Hela, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Karl Urban as Skurge, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk and Anthony Hopkins as Odin.
